Hi! I’m a Pipe Fitter
Pipe fitters design, assemble, install and troubleshoot the pipe systems that carry water, steam, chemicals and fuel to heat and cool homes.
Here are some of the skills you need:
- Read and understand drawings
- Problem solver
- Great communicator
This specialized trade understands how to read engineering drawings and work with a team of other trades to ensure the pipe systems run properly throughout the house. Sometimes the work is outside, other times it’s inside and can be in small spaces, and there’s ample opportunity to be self-employed and work flexible hours.
