Giving Back to the next generation of trades at CHBA CI

CHBA CI recently supported Thompson Rivers University carpentry students with $16,000 worth of Milwaukee tools to help jump-start their careers. Each of the 16 students who worked on this year’s CHBA CI Training House received up to $1,000 to purchase tools as a thank-you for their contribution to bringing the project.

The generous donation allowed students to purchase practical equipment, like drills, saws and storage systems, that these soon-to-be homebuilders will use on job sites and beyond.

A special thank-you to Kamloops Home Hardware and Malcolm Homes for helping make this support possible. Initiatives like this strengthen the industry’s pipeline of skilled workers and recognize the hard work and commitment students bring to their craft.
