From this vantage point, being a roofer is a great job. I work outside, protecting people’s homes and earning an excellent salary – roofing is a rewarding trade to get into.
Here are some of the skills you need:

Homeowners need great roofers to install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, or other roofing tiles, and to top it all off, the lifespan of a new roof is about 25-30 years, so there is always work to do from installing new ones to repairing and replacing older ones.

What are the training or certification requirements?
A college diploma and completion of a two- to three-year apprenticeship program, or over three years of work experience in the trade, are required to be eligible for trade certification.
