The construction manager knows all of the comings and goings on a site. They prepare budget estimates, plan timelines and develop quality control programs to ensure the home is being built on time and on budget.
In this role, you spend a lot of time on your feet and a lot of time sharing information between trades and updating timelines and budgets. Attention to detail and decision making is important to keep everyone on track.

What are the training or certification requirements?
A university degree in civil engineering or a college diploma in construction technology is usually required. Several years of experience in the construction industry, including experience as a construction supervisor or field superintendent, are usually required.
